We didn’t have the same surname, but I always called him Dad or Pop’s. Growing he taught me right from wrong. He was my bank manager, financial advisor and guided me through my career changes. He was a strong man, very kind and caring. Thought of others whilst recovering from his own illnesses over the last few years. Not enjoyed baking cakes and eating them!! Certainly had a sweet tooth. He will be missed amongst his family and friends. RIP Dad. Love you xxx

I've known Alan about 11 years, In that time we became very good friends, we met through a caravan forum, my wife and I and Alan and Sylvia had some lovely times together on various meetings and our friendship grew, even though Cherry and I sold our caravan we stayed in touch with Alan and Sylvia, we got together at least twice a year for fish and chips at our favourite restaurant Geo's. Alan was a lovely kind man and a good friend, we are going to miss him very much, we are so glad we got to see him before the end. It was an honour to have been Alan's friend. Condolences to Sylvia and family and Alan's family.
